[It is a little strange but deliberate it just how Huaisang is with people he cares for and doesn't want to lose. While he can still be impulsive and spontaneous, it takes an immense amount of trust or an absence of care for the other person. His last days with his brother were ones where he'd lacked restraint over his emotions or temper and they haunt him still to this day, ghosts from the past arising when and where he least expects it.
But Huaisang's been working on some issues, too, during these past few months and one of them has been simply learning how to relax and be close to someone again after a decade spent keeping people at arm's length. So when Wei Wuxian crawls onto the bed, Huaisang moves to meet him, reaching out to pull him into a firm but reassuring kiss. He lingers there a moment to reassure Wei Wuxian - and maybe himself, too, on some level - that they're simply moving forward into trying new things together. It's not all that different from how they've been in the past, is it?
He withdraws, resting his forehead briefly against Wei Wuxian's before speaking.]
